Here in Illinois, at least in DuPage County, when one walks into the county courthouse one is not allowed to take so much as a camera phone in. Ive often wondered about this. Ive thought to myself, at times, “I wonder what theyre so afraid of.” It seems to me that this is a public building, so arent the citizens of the county the actual owners? If they want to film on their own property, shouldnt they be able to do so with impunity? If they want to take pictures of their public servants, doesnt it make sense that they should be able to? Other counties in other states allow cameras and filming in their courtrooms, and if we are to have an open and honest judiciary system it seems to me that the best way to keep them on the up and up is to be able to film and record their activities.
This is a tale of two Southern states with conservative Republican governors who oppose the Affordable Care Act. Florida and South Carolina have rejected federal money to expand Medicaid to cover more uninsured residents. They have refused to set up health care marketplaces and left the job to the federal government.
That afternoon, a frantic Ana Margarita barges into the master bedroom. All day, she’s been dialing Juan Pablo on his cell phone, but the calls go straight to voicemail. Make your house work easier with the laundry chute and central vacuum system. For your work and hobbies there is a 1500 sf pole barn with an electric overhead door sitting back behind the trees in the back yard.
On the other hand in these days in San Francisco if you do that you are likely to find someone sleeping in your car when you come back. In the 80s I knew a guy in LA that would pay a homeless guy to sleep in the backseat of his convertible that he parked on the street in front of his loft. Cheaper and more secure than the parking lot..
Mostly cloudy and cold, with a high near 12. Wind chill values as low as 15. West wind around 10 mph. Popular Jack Vettriano prints tell just one part of a complicated story about a complex man and unique artist’s catalog. Vettriano is a Scottish artist at once obsessed with a bygone era of elegance, class, and fine taste, and also with an underworld where illicit sex is given rein over human nature. While the romantic images are by far his best selling, true connoisseurs of his work also know and appreciate the more overtly sensual and even sexual prints for which he is less well known..
